The wedding count down

Sunday was the first wedding event before Kelly’s big day. A family friend hosted a beautiful shower honoring Kelly. It was a great time, and Kelly looked amazing as the bride-to-be.

Let them eat cake

I had a delicious invite from Kel and Dan to taste wedding cake with them. The cake lady, Renee, came to Kelly’s house with six incredible flavors. The wedding cake is Dan’s thing, so mums the word on opinions. No problem here…..I just kept eating….my favorite, peanut butter chocolate, deeeeelicious!!!!!!!!!!!

Six weeks until I find out which two flavors they picked.

The Bride and Groom

Six little cakes waiting to be opened and devoured

The first week

Yesterday concluded the first week of training camp. It was filled with long days, little sleep and getting to know a new coach. Last night the Broncos had a full pads practice at the stadium that was free to the public, and they had an incredible crowd, over 13,000 people! That is more than any other training camp practice. There may be a lot of unknowns, doubts and new staff, but one thing is for sure….Denver loves and supports their Broncos!

Tomorrow is Kyle’s first day off since it all started, and I can’t wait!

A wedding at Devil's Thumb Ranch

Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending a co-worker’s wedding in Tabernash Colorado. It is located north of Winter Park and absolutely beautiful. The mountains tower over you, the air is crisp and sunsets are beautiful. This was my first time at this incredible wedding location, a truly unique setting.

Jena and Adam were married under a cloudy sky with threatening clouds. The ceremony looked out to a mountainous backdrop and green pastures. I was “that single girl” at the wedding that didn’t know anyone else, and I had a blast. Kyle was working the first day of training camp and I was dancing away at the Lester wedding. The reception was in a “made to look old” barn that was charming and cozy. It was an intimate evening with southern hospitality in the Colorado mountains.

Congrats to Adam and Jena!!!

2009-2010 season

Football is here… It is that season of the year that some love, some hate and others loose their loved ones. Training camp is the hardest part for me, and it would seem the same for the football staff, coaches and players. It is an intense three and a half weeks with one or two a day practices and only two days off.

It is the beginning of the next five months of our life. Here’s to the 50th Anniversary of the Denver broncos, a year to look back and the start of a new era.

A weekend with Mr. & Mrs. S

We had a fabulous time with Frank and Randy in town. We enjoyed a night in Steamboat Springs, made traditional spaghetti dinner and enjoyed each others company in the mountain air. Sunday we woke to a beautiful morning with coffee and breakfast. We decided to take the gondola to the top of the mountain and hike around a bit, it was hot and an incredible view.

The Sonneman’s camped and hunted for many years in the Steamboat area, so we drove back to Denver the long way. We visited numerous camp sites and hunting areas which sparked many memories. My family camped when we were kids, but nothing like these locations, they are remote and peaceful. I can’t wait to camp next summer.
