Coloring on furniture

She got a hold of a pen, normally out of reach and immediately started coloring on the chair she was standing next to.  I’m sure this will be the first of many coloring experiences, in all the wrong places.

Shoes, shoes, shoes...

I fear shoes are going to be a problem for our little Josie!  She LOVES shoes... hers, mine, Kyles'.  She doesn’t discriminate: heels, low and high, flats, running shoes, golf shoes, flip flops…

Not sure how she is even walking...
can I help you?

Mama's boots are a little challenging

It looks like she's racing through the mall

I've gotta say, she's pretty good with her matching skills!

Who doesn't want to stand in your heels and watch Sesame Street?!

Xgames

It was kind of an uneventful Xgames for Josie and me because she wanted to run around and it’s not really a place for her to run around.  There is snow and ice everywhere, tons of people and a pain in the bum to get there.  Besides all the events that you really want to see being past 8:00pm, that means I put Josie to bed and watched it from home.  We did get to see Kyle a few times on the mountain and say hello to all the people he works with.

My brother Andrew and cousin Tyler are working for Aspen Snowmass this year, so we did get a chance to see them as well.  The final night is the finals of Men’s snowboard super pipe and we stayed to watch a few boarders.  It was fun but a lot more work with a toddler!

I love a snow median

Colorado Green Chili Guest Post

Hey gang....I'm guest blogging over at The Salted Spoon today.  It's one of my favorite recipes with a little bit of family history:)  Check it out!

The Stock Show

It’s a yearly tradition my Dad started when we were kids.  We went to the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo every year and it was such a big deal. We all loved it!  It comes every January for about 3 weeks.  There was no way Josie was going to sit through a two hour rodeo, so we took her to the stock show which was a lot of fun!

We first hit the Petting Farm and she was a little hesitant at first.  The animals were as tall or taller than she was.  Once she saw the “quack, quacks” she was fine and didn’t want to leave.  Then we headed over to the cow barn and it was hilarious! There are rows and rows of cows being groomed for showing or sale.  These are the most gussied up cows you’ve ever see.  Anyway, Josie “mooed” the entire time we were in the cow barn.  Hilarious!

This was after she saw the ducks, notice she's not holding Kyle's hand anymore

Snow angles with Aunt Kelly

We have had a crazy amount of snow in Denver this year.  I was not feeling well and Josie was dying to get out in the snow.  Thankfully Aunt Kelly lives about 5 minutes away and came over for a little playing in the snow with Josie.

Snow up to her little bum!

Catching up...the Holidays

Here it is the beginning of March and I feel so behind in my blogging.  No pressure from anyone but myself of course.  Three months of our life to post which will be condensed because there wasn't a lot of action or pictures, thanks to a hellish first trimester.

So...While I love the holidays and everything that comes with it, baking, parties, family and friends...I was far from festive.  I didn't bake a single thing, although I did attempt and then ended up throwing the cookie dough away.  I attended Kyle's company party which was really nice.  The pictures are pretty sparse…
