Berry Picking

We went on a beautiful Friday morning to pick raspberries at Berry Patch Farms.  It was so fun and I can't wait until she is a little bigger and we can go again.  We went with our mom's group and our friends Erin and Conner.  They had rows and rows of raspberry bushes, and we tried champagne raspberries.  They we the best raspberries I've ever had.  Next year, we'll go to pick other fruits and veggies, strawberries and corn.

Josie did have a good time...this just happened to be at the end and she was ready to go!

Mom's group and play dates

I've joined a mom's group and it's been so fun!  There are things going on nearly every day of the week.  These pictures are from our first morning walk, it was chilly and our first playgroup.  All these kiddos are with in 6 weeks of each other.

Josie went to the zoo for the second time!  There are tons of babies right now, so my Mom, Kel, Josie and I went to check them out.  There are also a few other pictures from the week

Labor Day Weekend

This is one of my favorite weekends in Aspen!  We have spent Labor Day in Aspen for years.  It's a beautiful time of year, on the brink of fall, and the end of the summer tourist season.  There also happens to be a HUGE volleyball tournament The Mother Lode Volleyball Classic for all levels of players and it's so fun to watch.  We have followed some of the girls professional teams for years.  There is definitely a new generation of players since we first started following these teams.

This year was a little different, in that Kel and Dan came up on Sunday because Dan had a friend in town and Kyle has to work, so he didn't come at all.  It was Josie, mom and me for the first few days.  The weather we warm during the day and really chilly at night.  Mom, Josie and I had a late dinner Friday night at Zocolito and enjoyed live music on the patio.  Josie slept the entire time...it's the mountain air!

We shopped as usual, watched volleyball and walked the Rio Grande Trail every morning.  It's the best trail, paved for the first two miles and then it's gravel.  It's such a good workout..especially since I have a few more lbs to drop!  Saturday morning we went to the farmers market and tried a new locally owned burger place called 520 Grill.  It's awesome and affordable!  Kel and Dan arrived and we had to do happy hour at The Cantina...somewhere we always stop when in town.  We also tried a new restaurant, The Wild Fig, new to us it's been there for years and now we know why.  It was SO good, and it just may get on the rotation!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend

If you're in Aspen...hit this place up!  Great burgers!

A first attempt at rolling over

This was the first video I took with my AWESOME video/still camera I got for my birthday.  It was from my in-laws and it's one of the greatest gifts with having a baby!  Josie is about 3 months old when I took this.  She was trying so hard for a few days and we haven't seen much "trying to roll over action" in weeks.  Enjoy!

3 months old!

Time has flown by and Miss Josie is three months old...or at least when these pictures were taken.
